Color Inspo: Black & Blue
It’s not a secret that one of my favorite colors is black. It’s a color that goes with everything and the simplicity of it makes it so versatile. I asked my roommate to pick a completely random color and she stopped for a moment, turned to look at me and chose blue, which is how this color combo came together. It’s a clever color combination because black and blue complement each other so well. I put together three outfits with the two colors black and blue and quite like the result.
The first outfit was inspired by the modern business woman, it’s an outfit I quite like because wide pants can be styled in numerous ways with so many pieces and can be toned down or up depending on the event. I paired the pants with a ruffled blue shirt, a Rebecca Minkoff bag and classic black stilettos.
My favorite piece in the second outfit is most definitely the long dress/shirt. It’s so simple and can be worn on a nice sunny day (if the sun is able to stay for more than just a couple of hours.) I paired the dress with some simple black jeans, a cute black bag from Gina Tricot and depending on the occasion I added both espadrillos and Tommy Hilfiger wedges.
The last outfit was inspired by my love for ruffles, which is a trend that I’ve absolutely fallen in love with because it makes a simple shirt go from boring to fun, so I paired the shirt with the same black jeans as the previous outfit, a blue clutch and Miu Miu inspired ballerinas from H&M.
