Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Palette Review

You may or may not have noticed have noticed that when we entered Mercury Retrograde Huda Beauty decided to launch the newest addition to the palette family, which happens to be called Mercury Retrograde with good reasons too. The colors are completely different from the previous palettes. It contains 9 glittery shades and 9 mattes that all have astrological names. Recently I felt like the palettes started to resemble each other a lot especially with the minis, so there wasn’t really that much variation in the shadow department. However, this one is really different from the others. The colors are more vibrant and even though they’re crazy and festive, you’ll actually manage to achieve a natural look with this palette as well.

The colors ‘Crash’, ‘Momentum’ and ‘Karma’ are very subtle and neutral, so you’re able to do a daily office look, but still throw on some colors for that extra badass vibe. It’s all up to your imagination. I’ve fallen in love with the color ‘Ultraviolet’ and can’t wait to go to an event where I can create a look with it. The only thing that bothered me about the palette that I got is that you can see some of the glue, which you can see right next to the color ‘Karma’ in the bottom row. Call me a perfectionist and may or may not really matter, but I think that a product should be absolutely flawless when you’re selling it for a certain price. Other than that the palette is really beautiful with its galactic appearance.

In terms of the price of the palette – you’ll find that it’s a little pricey. I got this palette from Selfridges when I was in London for £58, which I think is a good price considering what you’re getting for the money. Then there’s the question about the pigmentation. I love a good pigmentation that doesn’t leave a lot of fallout, which I’ve read that this palette definitely doesn’t do, but it’s of course important to test these things out, which is why I filmed a quick review of this palette where I do a simple look. In case you want to get your hands on this palette you can find it here and here (outside Denmark).
