Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette & Liquid Matte Minis

facetuneBack in May I purchased the Huda Beauty highlighter palette. Cult Beauty had finally announced its arrival at their webshop and as the ultimate Huda Beauty fan (that I 100% am) I went ahead and got it as fast as possible. After throwing the palette in the basket I saw these mini matte lipsticks that I’ve been eyeing for some time and decided to throw them in as well. They’ll fit perfect in my bag whenever I’m on the go and don’t want a huge lipstick taking up a lot of space.

img_3761There are two highlighter palettes to choose from and I went for the one called ‘Pink Sands’ with lighter colors compared to the one called ‘Golden Sands.’ It comes with four gorgeous colors that are all named after islands – Capri, Santorini, Azores and Ibiza. ‘Capri’ is more of a creamy color and the rest are powders, which is why it’s meant as a base. You can apply them according to the instructions on the palette or you can mix and match like I do. I prefer doing that and currently I love combining ‘Santorini’ with ‘Azores’ – it gives me such a beautiful summer glow. But, whenever I want to look natural and have a more healthy glow I mix ‘Ibiza’ with my blush and that looks just as amazing. I basically love this palette. A lot!

Then there’s the pigmentation. Well, where do I start? As the Huda Beauty fan that I am, I had huge expectations for this palette. I haven’t disliked any of her products so far, so I knew I would love this one before opening it and if you haven’t guessed it yet, then yes! I love the pigmentation. The colors just come on like butter (weird comparison, but you get the idea) and the amount of shimmer doesn’t even deserve any complaint.

I wanted to get the colors ‘Gossip Gurl,’ ‘Trophy Wife’ and ‘Icon,’ so I decided to get the mini version of them and get an extra color with them. They’re all part of the pink edition. Again, I’m obsessed with these lipstick and their application is great. Did I mention that the lipsticks have this wonderful vanilla scent? I love when there goes a lot of thought and consideration into a product. Gotta love Huda.
